Château du Grand Barrail

Premières Côtes de Blaye Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Vintage 2010 | Solid petit Bordeaux with good balance, warm and spicy smell. This year is a slow developer, in 375 ml tannins are phasing out, but in magnum still very obvious. Paired with chicken, haricot verts. — a month ago

La Révélation Des Vignobles Denis Lafon Premières Côtes de Blaye Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Vintage 2005 | Modest pleasure bringer. 100% Merlot. In the prime of its life. Equals st Emilion Grand Crus. Cedar, tobacco. Roundness in taste. Autumn leaves. Always happy to open a bottle 🙃 — 10 months ago

Château Barrail Tapon

Montagne Saint Emilion Merlot Cabernet Franc 2019

2019 vintage. Château Barrail Tapon, Montagne Saint Emilion. As this is the fourth impeccable wine with amazing value mentioning "vignobles Gabriel & co" this week, it seems safe to say that it is a quality label. This one is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc and it's juicy, fruity and fresh with ripe tannin and good length. Another great value at less than 7 euros. — 3 years ago

Château Barrail Saint Andre

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

Lovely soft tannins. Easy to drink. This blend must be 95% merlot. The 2016 vintage in 2023 is undervalued if you can find it. Enjoyed it for $60 at a high end spot. Worth multiples of that at a restaurant venue. . — 5 months ago

Chateau Prieuré

Cuvée Roel Premières Côtes de Blaye Red Bordeaux Blend 2001

Vintage 2001 / French bottling for Berger Roermond on 100% new oak barrels. There were times I thought: over-oaked. But nowadays I do like the truffle in smell, chocolate and especially the refinement. 18 years is a respectable age. — 5 years ago
