Monte Xanic

Gran Ricardo Valle de Guadalupe Red Blend 2017

Our first bottle for the Thanksgiving holiday. Great with charcuterie and just general drinking. Love this and glad there is another bottle on the rack. — 9 days ago

Santo Tomás

Unico Gran Reserva Cabernet Merlot 2012

Let this open up for about an hour. Think this may be a bit past it’s prime. Still good but not as complex as earlier. Definite licorice, burnt raspberry and mild earth tones. — 5 months ago

Viñas de Garza

Gran Amado Valle de Guadalupe Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2015

From meh to hmm to yum. Took a while before the layers of spicy French oak revealed the dark dry earthy fruit underneath it. Medium to full body, decent complexity. — 6 months ago

Valle de Guadalupe/San Vicente Amado IV Red Blend 2018

Excellent wine. Fantastic backbone with crisp tannins and vibrant acidity. Bright dark red fruit with a nice edge that makes it a perfect match with asada tacos! — 5 months ago

Chasselas del Mogor 2017

So smooth and so clean with the slightly salty Valle Guadeloupe taste. A unique and sophisticated blend. — a month ago

Pies De Tierra Syrah Tempranillo 2018

Classic saline and wood that you love here- tabac, green pepper, dark berry fruit. Great mouth filling body, feet of the land indeed.
Love this wine.

Monte Xanic

Valle de Guadalupe Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2020

We were introduced to some great Mexican wines a few months back when we explored Valle de Guadalupe in Baja California. Monte Xanic makes some excellent wines. This is their entry Bordeaux blend of fifty fifty Cab and Merlot. The Merlot comes from their higher, cooler valley (Valle de Ojo), the Cab from the warmer Valle Guadalupe. It made a very interesting wine. The dark red vibrant fruit upfront from the Merlot and the dark earthy lingering finish from the Cab. Both very much in sync with each other. — 6 months ago
