Solid 9.5. Did not match up to the Maybach/Abreu/SQN last night but still excellent. Much lighter on the palate even less than than an Aubert Pinot, great aromatics, classic Cab flavors but not the rich, dark, deep flavors of last night. — a year ago
Roller coaster wine. This one was really nice. — 2 days ago
One of my favorites from Premiere Napa Valley 2020. #pnv20 #pnv2020 #napa Only 5 cases. Staglin clonal selection of Cabernet Sauvignon
A second generation Martha’s Clone, originally planted on the estate in the 1960s by André Tchelistcheff
Single barrel selected by winemaker Fredrik Johansson as a roto fermentation and aging in the same barrel
Your wine showcases opulence, elegance, nuance and complexity
This is the first time we are creating single barrel selection of the Staglin Clone Cabernet Sauvignon for Premiere Napa Valley. Harvested on Oct. 26, 2018 from our Rutherford Bench estate vines that were originally planted in the 1960s by the famed Andre Tchelistcheff and repropagated in 1990 under the talented hand of David Abreu. Winemaker Fredrik Johnasson selected these grapes for an in-barrel roto fermentation where the wine currently ages awaiting its future owner. One of the greatest vintages we have seen on our estate, this wine showcases the opulence, elegance, nuance and complexity our Cabernet Sauvignon has become known for.

Religious experience. First expensive (for me) wine that I've had. My wallet was disappointed to learn that there are wines worth the price. I feel I can write an essay about it, but I'll just say it is the first wine I've ever had where the smell and the taste were equally impressive. — a year ago
Um Chardonnay surpreendente de SC — a year ago
Fruit from Abreu Madrona and Thorevilos vineyards.
Decant for sediment (lots of chunky/fine sediment). A startling purplish reddish magenta color. On the nose: plum, creme de cassis, smoked meat, mint, vanilla nuts. Taste: This Songbook is singing! A smooth, velvety, balanced medium body wine with blueberry, bitter chocolate, red currants, spice, tar, and a minerally cedar semi dry finish. Nice start to the weekend! — 4 months ago
A big fan - celebrating some many things I don’t know where to start but I ran to exercise until my knees could not handle up to 2017 - quit running but kept drinking wine like I was running still lol - gained 60 pounds - decided last September enough - proud to announce I walk on average 14-15k steps a day - lost 53 pounds - don’t drink as much which sucks - but when I do I hope I drink amazing wines like this - stunning — 9 months ago

2010 vintage. Heavy body. Well made but a bit too sweet for this geezer. — 25 days ago
