Medium ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, jam, leather, oak, plum, strawberry, tar, and vanilla. Medium body, with medium tannins and medium-plus acidity. Bold fruit on the palate. Slighty oaky but otherwise smooth on the finish. A solid, well-integrated red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), Petite Sirah (33%), Zinfandel (14%), and Petit Verdot (7%). (4.0/90) — 5 years ago
Nose has ripe blackberry, medium roast coffee grounds, tannic black cherry, crushed milk chocolate, sliced red pepper, tanned black leather and ripe plum skin.
Palate has ripe blackberry, plum, milk chocolate chips, mild new oak, black currant and red clay pottery. Mild tannins are becoming integrated. Decanted 6H.
We enjoyed this bottle with mesquite smoked chuck steaks from a local farmer (Kinderhook Farm; Valatie, NY), cooked slow and low. Manage your temperature and you'll never be disappointed, on the grill for almost 25+minutes, but beautifully medium-rare.
FAW is a staple producer in our cellar, but generally I do not touch anything until at least a 10-12Y birthday. A one off bottle purchase from Costco ($40) so that I can check in on bottles we're waiting on.
75.8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16.2% Merlot, 4.0% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc.

FYI, new-ish trending algorithm on Delectable only pushes wines to the feed which can be purchased through Delectable/Banquet. Kind of a 'fake news' feed of the actual popularity on wines in the platform, but what do I know?! I figured since this bottle 'trended' with no likes as of this commentary, I'd let everyone know. I generally don't drink wines that are available via Banquet registered purveyors, since most of our wines are unique or older. Same with 'Tasting Notes: Weeky Roundup' so be aware. Enjoy this tidbit of knowledge, community. 🤗 My soapbox. — 5 years ago

4.0 2011 vintage dark red color with a nice complex nose and a tannic, but somewhat complex full body and a fairly long aftertaste. After a week open with Vacu van at room temperature it softens some but this wine needs another 10 years in a cool cellar at least. — 6 years ago

Great classic and strict Austrian Pinot Noir. My wardrobe doesn't have proper set of clothing to match this wine, but to hell with those suits - I still enjoy this wine even in my shorts. Excellent bouquet: spices, earth, wild strawberry, tobacco leaves, cherry. More volume than I expected, medium+ body, vertical palate.

2018 disgorgement Very sensitive to temperature of the room. Opened last night at cellar temperature, 64 degrees, & tonight after spending the night in the fridge & nice, but not until it warmed to 72 degrees did it express it mild to moderate complex medium body & aging complexity. Lovely wine with a long complex aftertaste. 4.0. This site doesn’t want to save this. If I hit OK it hides my note. — 6 years ago
Browning at the edges of a medium to dark red with a somewhat closed but complex dusty nose with a medium complex body with definite age, but not over the hill at all with a long complex aftertaste. 4.0 for the 2001 — 6 years ago

4.0 /8.95 Tuscan sunset Friday!🌵 Superb balance, acids and tannins are perfect after 2hr decanting. blackberry cherry oak plum vanilla and some earth undergrowth to round things out. — 7 years ago
Nice little wine form Silicon Valley, with a neat little binary code label. Zinfandel and Syrah mix. Nice deep rich purple color. Aromas of plum, raspberry and baking spices. Loads of red fruit on the palate, clove and soft tannins. Didn’t see a vintage, only Version 4.0 — 8 years ago
Tasted blind and didn't guess. Even more, I literally said that it's a traditional sparkling of a very good effort, but probably not Champagne. Somehow it lacked acidity and aftertaste. Baked apple with cinnamon and a half-spoon of honey. Gingerbread! After some time it reveals notes of Jerez with wet earth. It's fresh - the acidity is good, it could be higher, but there is nothing to counterbalance it. It lacks structure and persistence. The pear candy in the finish is really nice. Overall nice, but the other bottle of 745 I tasted recently was completely different (and that's not only my experience). The only observable difference - lot numbers (L18 vs L28).
P.S. Initially, I rated it 8.0 (e.g. 4.0/5.0) but increased it a bit after tasting all the other wines of the evening.

Light yellow color with lovely light complex nose and a medium complex body with well integrated acidity and a moderately long aftertaste. When compared previously with the French Verizon it was obviously from the same maker with slightly less body & complexity, but for 1/2 the price! 4.0 & a bargain! — 6 years ago
Nice nose and dark to medium dark color with a nice dry nose with a medium to full body that is complex and a moderately long complex aftertaste. 2011, 4.0 rating. — 6 years ago
Dark red color with a classic Cabernet nose with a full somewhat complex body and a long aftertaste. Ready now, but will last several years. Well worth the price. 4.0 for the 2018. — 6 years ago
4.0/5, 8,9/10.
Легкое, комплексное и лесное. Моченые красные ягоды, клюква, душистые цветы (фиалка?), душистые травы; томаты, много мха, леса и грибов; квашеная капуста.
Lightweight, complex and forest. Soaked red berries, cranberry, fragrant flowers (violet?), fragrant herbs, tomato; a lot of moss, forest and mushrooms; sauerkraut. — 7 years ago
Nice full nose with a dark red color with a full bodied complex body with good fruit and a long aftertaste. An easy 4.0 that will improve with further cellaring in a cool cellar. — 8 years ago
