2012 Medium dark color with a spectacular dried fruit nose with a medium well balanced somewhat acidic complex body and a long complex aftertaste. Tasted with a 2009 Vrignaud Fourchaume, which was lovely, this wine seems older and more complex. Lovely wine that rates 4.5. — 4 years ago

1970 Medium red color and a mild browning of the edges with a nice light slightly baked fruit nose, a medium body that is smooth without much complexity and a full length aftertaste. What a bargain since after taxes it only cost slightly more than $5.00 probably in 1972 or 1973. — 4 years ago

Nice developed nose dark with medium to dark color, slightly acidic, but full bodied complex body with a moderately long aftertaste. It stood up well to a big early 1990’s California Cab& surpassed a very good Vosne-Romanee. — 4 years ago

2018 disgorgement Very sensitive to temperature of the room. Opened last night at cellar temperature, 64 degrees, & tonight after spending the night in the fridge & nice, but not until it warmed to 72 degrees did it express it mild to moderate complex medium body & aging complexity. Lovely wine with a long complex aftertaste. 4.0. This site doesn’t want to save this. If I hit OK it hides my note. — 4 years ago

Medium to dark color with a subdued nose & a fairly full complex body with a medium length aftertaste. It has blossomed since last tasted several years ago & stood up well to a 1883 Ch Arnauld Haut Medoc & 2004 Palladian Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. 4.5/5. — 4 years ago

4.3/5 1984 it has been open for about two weeks with Vacuvan and needed an extra week of the two to completely open up. It has a lovely baked fruit nose now without any smell of excess aging, but slightly less flowery, with a full, slightly sweet complex body & a nice medium to long length aftertaste. — 4 years ago
