Sandalwood and red fruits. Slightly reductive tone, but very food friendly. Lots of acid and tannin. Eaten with duck confit meat pie and coulotte steak and paired well with both — 10 years ago

Just past it's prime. Still interesting but beginning to thin out. Lots of licorice and tertiary aromas of mushroom, soy/umami, earth and slight hint of aldehyde. Enjoyable but wishing we had opened it a year or two ago. Half bottle of 1999 vintage. — 8 years ago
