Just past it's prime. Still interesting but beginning to thin out. Lots of licorice and tertiary aromas of mushroom, soy/umami, earth and slight hint of aldehyde. Enjoyable but wishing we had opened it a year or two ago. Half bottle of 1999 vintage.
