Ethereal earthen notes, like an old dusty leather book, aged tobacco spice and still some dark chocolate covered sour cherries, subtle smoky meat character, still juicy, holding onto fine-grained tannins, acid is refreshing and zippy even at 28 years old. Sour cherries and overripe strawberries, Mediterranean spice, tobacco, leather, black olives, mushrooms, savory, meaty, like bacon-wrapped roasted cherries, iron-like minerality and a balsamic note on a long, long finish. — 2 years ago
