Dense, dark crimson. Savory nose of veggie garden, beef stock, and strawberry. Quite atypical and hard to figure out, though fabulous acidity, dusty texture, faily good balance on a very long structure. Finishes very long, smokey and woody. 90 pts. — 9 years ago
Beautiful bright, vibrant ruby of medium density; a gem. Sweet vanilla bean comes to the nose, followed by black currant and hints of radish. Fairly good entrance but followed by good development on the palate. Root beer, fennel bulb, and cabbage flavors. Somewhat bitter tannins that contrasts very interestly with its slightly off-dry, vanilla influenced finish. Good food worthiness. Good 12 second persistance. 88 pts. — 10 years ago
I loooove Merlot! What I like about this one is its character, quite pure. Dull ruby of medium density. Fresh, funky aromas of venison, V8 juice and raspberries. Medium to full body, with staircase-like performance. Enters elegant and grows in your palate until it explodes with brilliant, lingering finish. Firm grip of tannis, delicious acidity, but beside structure, awesome roundness and flesh. More than harmony, I see an interesting scholar of a wine. Quite food worthy. Dark cherries and dark plum for days. Quite peppery at the end. 89 pts. — 10 years ago
Phenomenal dull cherry red, cloudy and light to medium density. Very exotic nose of rose petals, green sparragus, hints of soy sauce, pommegranate, very beautiful and expressive bouquet. Prunes and figs on the nose too. Great entrance, bountiful complexity and amazing evolution on the palate. Phenomenal dusty texture. Intriguing acidity of prunes, green tomato and primrose that provide for a very long and intriguing finish. This wine has exceeded my expectations. 91 pts. — 9 years ago
Dull and cloudy ruby to almost purple, of almost full density. Fairly dense aromas of barley, radish, fennel, blackberry, malt, and currant. Nice presentation on the palate, showing full body creaminess, abundant flavors of wild berries, sage, lots of dark flavors, black currant, blackberry, very dark acidity, primrose, balsamic vinegar, volcanic soil, and a lingering finish of tobacco, white pepper, sun dried tomatoes, and ashes. Colli Senesi is what drew me to this wine, but I must say that is fairly uninteresting and shows very little varietal character. Strong minerality and soil flavors and aromas. 85 pts. — 9 years ago
This wine is to be drank with family! This wine is so BIG. It is HUGE!!! Very classic tempranillo pitch black, absolutely black, coffee-like dark, dense granate. Sumtuous nose of cherry scented shoe polish, incense, sandalwood, and rosewood, very fine and expressive. Very big development on the palate, but hugely driven by oak. Cherry scented tobacco, deep and dark, with huge tannins and slight banana peel nuance. A tempranillo on steroids, somewhat difficult to identify. Way too much make up. Decant this wine for a good long while before drinking. Syrupy and goopy. Finish stays a good long minute. 90 pts. — 10 years ago
Old fashion ruby of medium density, medium brilliance, and very slight cherry color rim. Very pronounced and complex bouquet of herbal, flowery and earthy aromas. Very good performance on the palate, nice entry, very good development with tasty acidity and carbonic or volcanic notes. Good sophistication and balance. Nice and dry. A great cheese wine. Great value. 88 pts. — 9 years ago
Perubian Cabernet Sauvignon, fairly aged, opaque ruby with slight orangy rim, medium density. I like the nose of good intensity; aromas of wet soil, sugarcane syrup, radish, rubarb, and blackberry. Enters the palate with meaty, savory notes that evolve onto beautiful plumy acidity. Exits very well, elegant, long, a little racy, and plumy and balsamic. Very fresh and authentic produce. 91 pts. with love — 9 years ago
Dense dull old cherry color with burgundy rim. Awesome nose of malt, chocolate covered cherries, cocoa puffs cereal, and very subtle funkiness. Very long story on the palate; this is very interesting and nice. 38% fuitiness, showing chocolate covered cherries and raspberry flavors; the other 62% is the long structure of firm but ripe tannins and delicious sour cherry acidity. Obviously not a balanced bet (38 to 62 is far from 50-50) but very interesting, very tall, and quite long finish showing awesome tobacco notes. Quite dry but not at all austere. Quite masculine. Very well done! 89 pts. — 10 years ago

Love the endless, tiniest of bubbles in this cava. Medium intensity nose of barley, subtle barn, malt and strawberry scented smoke. Great presentation on the palate, with a nice almost full body and deligthful acidity. But not much complexity or development. It is what it is. Fairly lingering exit. 85 pts. — 9 years ago
