Zorzal
Eggo Tinto de Tiza
Two- dimensional; not quite well rounded. Pure and nice to pair with beef or pork.

Jan 24th, 2017It has a nice aroma and some bold flavors. Chalk, black cherry, tart cherries, with a spice note. It comes across a little unbalanced, but it’s labeled red table wine. So in that respect, it not a bad everyday wine to drink. Lots of sediment, so u may want to filter.

Jan 25th, 2022Smoky aroma, medium body, bitter aftertaste. Not great when we opened it, but got better after a few days. Paired well with a wine-soaked purple cheddar cheese.

Jul 9th, 2021Tannic. Needs to decant for at least 90 minutes and continues to open. Really tasted the Cabernet Franc. Wish it had gone more heavy on the Malbec or Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sep 7th, 2020100% Malbec fermented and aged in concrete eggs (hence the name) from vineyards at an elevation of 4500 feet in Gualtallary, possibly the “hottest” region in Argentina. Due to the high altitude, cooler temperatures (2016 was a particularly cold year) and intense sunlight, grapes are said to retain freshness and develop more aromas and flavors. This is quite fragrant indeed, with intense aromas of dark fruit, wet earth and herbs. On the palate it is more austere, feels very fresh, with high acidity
