Intense Granny Smith Apple, slight effervescence

Under ripe lime & grapefruit. High acidity with current of underlying sweetness. Reminiscent of NZ SB with 'a certain funky tanginess, reminiscent of the smell of guava or earwax. Apparently this is due to a chemical compound called p-mentha-8-thiol-3-one.'

Glass of wine with lunch.

Spritzy and lemony

Strongly sour, citrus, lemon

Slightly dry. Pretty.

First time trying an American Gruner. Citrus with riper apple and melon compared to Austrian. A great take on the varietal.

A lovely, fresh and crisp (and varietally correct) Gruner. Shows California is making good progress with this grape.

Crisp with a nice finish.

Just not my thing.
