Fantastic aromas. White pepper, sour cherries, mid season cherries, spice and loads of minerals. Mossy as well. Super bright. Very very impressive. Beautiful kirsch as well. Palate is elegant, sweet and forceful. Lovely juiciness and wispy but substantial tannins. Outrageous length. So pure. So balanced. So Ziereisen. Amazing depth and material here. Just ridiculous. A stunning stunning wine.

Wow this is fabulous. Nose is spicy, peppery red fruit and pink flowers. Good deep red fruit on the palate, fresh fruit and also fruit leather, herbs and light newly cured leather. Young. Giving, but only starting to open. Night one was good. Night three was way better and this should be phenomenal in 5 years as it begins to unfurl.

One of my favorite value Pinots I sell. For under $30 this is a startling wine that is easily Jaspis level. Nose is so high toned and so bright you can stand on the chair and still smell it if the glass is on the table. Just awesome lift. Sappy red cherries and berries. A lipstick like intensity. Unreal minerality. Wafting and so complex. Brilliant! I love Ziereisen. What a palate. Big acids and big fruit but lavished with minerals. Gorgeous length and purity. What a finish. This is a knockout. Really intense inner mouth aromas. Awesome freshness and purity. So deep. Just absurd value. Nose is getting leafy and meaty. So complex. Not sure if all bottles are a 9.5 but this bottle is a 9.5. As this airs the structure becomes more prominent. This will age. What a wine.

Nose is very high toned and expressive. Lovely sour cherry, mid season cherry and very intense berry fruit. Nose jumps out. Leafy, tree bark and tons of minerality. Mmmm what a nose. @Aravind Asok def had an off bottle. This nose he Jaspis like. Mint, menthol and also creamy mid season cherry after air. Such an aromatic nose. Gorgeous purity of fruit and obviously very young but all the parts are there like sour cherry, ripe and velvety tannins. So so juicy and clean with tremendous palate presence and depth. Insane innner mouth aromas and a structure that remains structured but is also eminently drinkable if that make sense. So complete. Jaspis level and usually under $30. Best deal in all of the Ziereisen stable. Such sweet and sour fruit and knock it out of the park freshness. Brilliant wine.

Needed 1 hour to shake off some stuff then a gorgeous bottle. Red cherries, spice and super mineral. Palate is so juicy and energetic. Dynamite sappy fruit. So damn pure and so much linearity. Straight as an arrow. Lovely tangy acidity and so so fresh. What length. What a value. Terrific lift and very mineral finish with cranberry and other berries. Fine tannins. What a wine.

Fragrant, sappy, tangy, and minerally. With an hour of air, the nose shows loads of tangy ripe cherry and rhubarb, and lots of nose-tingling limestone dust minerality. Intense but with buoyant acids and tingly minerals, the finish moves from fruit to a nice savory element. Lacking a tad in length but very nice.

Debut vintage of this Pinot from the master. From high elevation iron rich soils in the edge of the Black Forest. Gorgeous nose. Black cherry, some black cherry jelly as well, mineral, floral, pungent, really high toned. Unraveling first 30 minutes. Spectacular. Palate is elegant and juicy, with lovely linearity and purity. Big flavors of black cherry fruit and terrific acidity along with that unique mineral iron taste. Awesome sweetness and sap. So long and pure. This is effing amazing for the price. Wonderful delicacy on the finish and terrific fruit on the mid palate.

Lovely plum flowers and a gorgeous kiss of spice. So good. This guy is a magician. Nice sweet fruit. Ok as this opens its amazing. More savory. Just zen. Were I a winemaker I’d just give up. It would take me a century to understand how he does this. $60/$80 in Burgundy. If you can get wine this well made at that price.
