Mar 26th, 2022Wowza. Stunning nose of ripe cherries, spice and earth. Loads of limestone intensity. Ethereal florals. So high toned and fresh. A 9.8 nose. Just insane. There is a wonderful herbal element as well that is just divine. Just incredible. The fruit is so pure and so vivid. Insane vivid. Wow the cherries are so focused they smell better than real cherries at the peak of cherry season. Palate is lean like 14 is known for but so precise and so juicy. The linearity here is insane. This is so perfect. Balanced and super super pure like nothing else. What length. Nimble and elegant. But still has so much more to show

Oct 7th, 2021Always one of the top Pinots in Germany. Gorgeous, haunting and complex nose of spice, tree bark, mid season cherries, cherry flower, mulberry, licorice, hint of oak. Gorgeous. Layered, haunting and just beautiful. Palate is mega juicy and so stunningly pure. Elegant and lithe with just stunningly refined tannins. What a finish. Amazing, depth, minerality and complexity. A little closed on the backend but will open as the night goes on. Wow.

Oct 17th, 2020More structured than the 2011. It needed 24 hours to unwind. Really needed it. I’d not open a bottle for 2-4 more years. Today the nose is just flourishing. Sappy red cherry and cranberry fruit with loads of wet earth. Some lovely stoniness to. Really lifting and ethereal. Palate is at once elegant and juicy but also dense and electric with limestone infused tannins that finish almost fully mineral. The wine dissipates and has a red Riesling like finesse. Stunning. Epic. Poetic.

Jaspis Pinot noir Alte reben. miracle wine. Depth and complexity of grand cru burgundy. Still fresh. Only five years old. Insane internal aromatics Sweet fresh fruit. Amazing.

Old vines give much more earthiness. Ripe morello cherries and darker fruits. Inner mouth aromas, are insane, so elegant and so pure. Such stunning richness and depth. This is almost perfect. What a finish. This is just gorgeous. Goes on an on and will age at least 20 years. So long and delineated and dazzling purity. Stunning fruit that is crazy vivid and pure. Wow. 2,000 bottles.
