Epic. A beast. Concentrated, deep, sappy, genius. Elegant. No formal notes.

This wine gets better every vintage. Just stunning. Color is almost a pinkish hue on this years. Guessing some skin contact but only a little just to get the color as this has no tannin etc. What a nose. Stone fruits, hint of wood, huge minerality that is so clean and smells like some fresh new element. Can’t explain it. So mineral. Just soars yet is straight and direct. Some pink and white flowers as well. Concentrated yet so so elegant with dazzling purity and an intense fruit skin character. Dazzling purity and such focus and linearity. The fruit is so well defined and just stays with you and pushes forward on the palate slowly. Knockout finish. Just a brilliant bottle. I’m sure later in the day it will improve and push my score maybe higher. As it airs the complexity of aromas reaches hypersonic overdrive. Just insane. What a wine. Easily will age 15 years but I imagine in 7-8 it’s really gonna peak.

German/Austrian wine night in Great Barrington, MA; 2019.

@Delectable Wine FYI, this is a white wine.

Incredible aromas of fresh peach and orange blossom, minerals for days. Creamy palate but no apparent oak influence, mash of peach/lime with serious limestone salinity. Best Pinot Gris to ever cross my palate.
