Very Rustic alpine Nebbiolo. My 2011 is ready to drink in 2019... a brittle cork may have contributed. Terrific producer, softer Nebbiolo with white mushroom, slightly stewed red cherry, light oak and roses... smells like a winery in production (could be a good thing, or not, for you).

Apr 21st, 2019Another great example of why Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte may be one of the best values in wine. Delicious with dark fruit and lots of earth. Quite complex and full on the palate. Tannins could use a couple more years to resolve a bit more but even with limited air this is quite a nice wine indeed.

Apr 22nd, 2019Holy tar & roses, I love an Alto Piemonte Nebbiolo. Leather, raisins, ferrous and mineral, prune, cedar, velvety tannins, nice acids keep it juicy. From Flatiron Wines.
