So glad this wasn’t corked like my first bottle. Black, dark fruit and a little mintiness in the nose, kinda like my Russian sage plant. Interesting! Every so slight band-aid thing going on. Syrupy and fruity, with some tannic muscle behind it. A winner.

Black cherry, BBQ'd meat, sagebrush, heavy tannins, charred morel habitat. Awesome secondary notes. Delicious.

1 person found it helpfulJun 6th, 2017Fresh washed strawberries, maybe a hint of chocolate deep on the nose, luscious. Tasting: soft up front, pleasant on the palette. Darker fruits and some pepper, good tannins make a nice finish. Pretty solid structure. Like it.

Cali Syrah all the way. Big fruit, caramel, vanilla, fruit compote, med acidity and quite smooth. Made well, and would please the right audience.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish-red rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, sweet cherries, black currants, licorice, vanilla, medicine, oak, eucalyptus, spices peppercorn and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Tart on the palate with cherries, red currants, leather, earth, raspberries, wood, light vanilla, sage, animal notes, spices, sweet herbs, peppercorn and graphite.
Medium finish with soft tannins, raspberries and bitter herbs.
A Drinkable Syrah from California. Simple with lots of spicy notes. Not very special, with a bitter aftertaste. Still unbalanced and needs a few years in the bottle to mature.
Grapes were hand harvested, and fermented with some Viognier grapes. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.
14.1% alcohol by volume.
