Deep ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Beautiful nose of blueberries, black plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, herbs and peppercorn.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet plums, cooked cherries, oak, spices, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, herbs, dark coffee, peppercorn, pencil lead and dark chocolates.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 11 year old Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Israel is drinking beautifully now. Rich, spicy and entertaining. Elegant and fruit forward. A great sipping wine.
Drinking at its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
Good right out of the bottle, and even better after 90 minutes of airtime.
Such a fantastic wine, complex and interesting. Loved the nose here. The high alcohol is nicely integrated by now.
I had a few other vintages of this wine and this is so far the best that I had.
Thank you Aaron for sharing this with me.
Paired beautifully with Grilled Lamb Chops.
A blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Petit Verdot. Grapes are grown at 2,500 feet of elevation. Aged in (33% new) French oak barrels for 14 months. Kosher and not Mevushal.
15% alcohol by volume.
95 points.
$130.

This Israeli Bordeaux blend is drinking very nicely now, although it is very young.
Showing a great mouthfeel with nice complexity. Nicely balanced and good by itself or with food.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show tannins and complexity. Will age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Reminds me of a right Bank Bordeaux. Has high alcohol but not noticeable at all.
Tasty an interesting.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

Good Bordeaux blend, and one of the best Kosher Israeli wines I have had. Very strong, and it could likely use a few more years of aging. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a little overwhelming and not well-balanced with the other grapes. The finish is quite acidic. And the cost of this wine is way too high—it tastes like an acceptable $30 Bordeaux but costs $80.

Oct 26th, 2018Drank a 2002, was thoroughly disappointed. I think the bottle went bad. Had brown coloration, and lots of sediment.
