2015 was right for this wine. Earthy with blood, eggplant, and stewed black fruit aromas. Pretty complex and I believe that is solid winemaking and a killer vintage. The flavors are big and dark; black currants, blackberries, and dark cherries with iron like minerals. Best vintage I’ve had of this wine and it is a steal for the price.

This is a well- crafted wine that makes for a fine weekday glass. Ripe fruits and fair tannins keep this a real quaff. Not my usual style of a savory Syrah, but it is an enjoyable wine to keep on hand for guests.

Just starting to open in its youth. Give this until autumn(2015) to start showing well.

On the nose, iron, meat and blood. In the mouth, dark fruit, cracked pepper, rose hips and iron. High tannins, medium acid, long finish. Big wine and needs 3-5 more years at least to integrate the wood and calm the tannins.
