Still on really good shape at 5 years old. Hard to tell if the wine has peaked or not. Dark fruit, smooth long finish.

Continuing on my 'Australia Shiraz Showcase' dozen from Wine Selectors (find out more about this awesome deal here: travellingcorkscrew.com.au/blog/australias-first-families-of-wine ). Next up is the Yalumba 'Triangle Block' 2014 Shiraz from the Eden Valley (South Australia).

It's a blackish ruby red colour in the glass with quite a savoury nose to it. Think leather, spice, bark and stewed plums. It's full of juicy cherry ๐Ÿ’ flavour in the mouth, with plenty of fresh acidity and silky tannins. The finish on this Shiraz seems to go on forever! It matched beautifully with Mr. Spittoon's slow cooked pork shoulder with fennel and veggies on the side ๐Ÿ‘Œ

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine

Plums, raspberries, licorice. Little bit brighter fruit on the medium finish.

Just so-so. Good aromas, but it was really kind of muted. The 2nd night it was ok. But really opened up on the 3rd night. But by then itโ€™s also starting to go. Not so impressed. If I happen across it again Iโ€™ll definitely give it another try. But wonโ€™t go out of my way to get it.
