Russian River Valley Old Vines Colombard

Hmmm.

Wednesday Wine Committee and what a fantastic line-up by John! Typical format of 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine. All tasted blind.

Very unique. Many guesses of white burgundy, and I even guessed high end SB. Fairly tropical on the nose and even the finish, but the palate was full...but without much oak on it! A thinker.

Great body and acidity for a colombard made in California :)

Peach, bright, full bodied.

Fresh, and bright with a nice depth of flavor. And colombard.

Talk about guilty pleasure wine. So delicious and cheap. Monopole wines are killing it

12.5% alc.
Super quaffable and a great Summer sipper.

Fresh, tart. A bit dilute, green.

Always a great choice for an inexpensive, crisp white.
