My new addiction - Took awhile for it to open up. Could lay down longer sure. Very velvety.

Three days open, and just starting to show its stuff. Polished, refined, precise and underpinned with subtle Grenache notes. The exact opposite of Anonyme.

Gorgeous bouquet! Makes me want to dive into the bottle.
Delicious fruit, ripe tannins and excellent lenth. 2 hour decant needed at least!

Color is dark red with a shade of brown and a light purple rim.

On the nose, very strong aroma of cloves and spices with blueberries, Figs, raisins and white pepper.

Full-bodied and 14.5% alcohol with gorgeous legs.

On the palate, not as fruity as on the nose.
Dry on the attack and not as smooth as I expected. Blackberries, black currants, cloves, earth, licorice, black pepper and slight vanilla.

Long finish with hoarse tannins. Better with food than to be had by itself.

Fresh, bold and new...this was leaving the things I thought I loved about CdP, but made me consider a different style of CdP. fruit considerate, acidity present, body controlled CdP is not the norm, but it is most enjoyable!!

This bottle did not make it to 2024. The wine had turned brown and there was substantial brett. But I could tell that there had one been a nice Chateauneuf underneath the spoiled wine.

I still dream of the ‘72 and for better or worse always compare to that. This is great, just not as mind blowing. Definitely blended great and still vibrant, but does have a green pepperiness to it that I was not expecting from Rhone.
