Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Absolutely clean as a whistle. Showing Margaret River coolness and with the primary fruit having just integrated. This will kick on for another decade.

Notes of Capsicum (red pepper), mulberry and leafy notes. A good entry level Cabernet from Xanadu. Medium bodied with all the characteristics of quality Margaret River Cabernet but a little detuned. Xanadu is one of the up and coming wineries in the west winning major trophies on the Show Circuit like Deep Woods Estate who are challenging the established Margaret River hierarchy like Moss Wood, Cullen, Woodlands, Vasse Felix, Cape Mentelle, Leeuwin Estate etc etc.

Lovely tanins. Creamy start and dry finish. Great standalone wine. An encompassing example of what The Margaret River region of Australia has to offer.

Dusty dry herb and spice. Elegant, nice round and juicy fruit intensity. Silky, layered and deep. Excellent!

Still drinking Margaret River Cabernet in Melbourne

.Visually dark, opaque black-purple hue, hinting at the concentration.
On the nose, a bouquet of blackberry and plums.
The palate transitions seamlessly, revealing a well-structured profile where integrated tannins provide a firm yet smooth framework. This structure supports a core of persistent fruit that carries through to a notably long and satisfying finish.
A good example of the generally improving wines coming through behind the top liners.

Complex nose, with plum, rose, spices/herbs and wood.

Mostly black fruits, soft and round and smooth on the palate, medium-bodied, medium-long finish, solid Aussie Cabernet.
