Perfect on a muggy and unseasonably warm NoVa night. Wafty nose has some yeastiness overlaying deep slatey minerals. Ripe apple fruit with a kiss of white peach. Minerals, ripe fruit, and roundness in the mouth. Deep flavors. The acids seem low at first, but sneakily mount in the finish. Nicely done.

So classically balanced semicolon that it may be most sweet for most American tasters. Shows vibrant yellow and golden fruits, with a distinct off dry entry to the palate. Very good Q but seems a little cloying for my needs this night w brats and a cabbage salad.

Nov 21st, 2022Delicious. Loads of vibrant ripe apple fruit actually veering toward peach. Nice slatey minerality. In the mouth, it’s soft and round-textured on entry, then some minerality comes in but then recedes, leaving lingering notes of pure fruit. Good acids and just a hint of sweetness. Nice aperitif supper.

Wow what’s not to love there! Lemon curd and lemon peel, chalk, white flowers, a bit of petroly thing too. The palate is a great acid backbone and everything else is a complement to it. There are some lemon juice, lemon peel notes dancing around Yes, there is some width, almost a viscosity quality to it on the fringes, some grip in the rear, before a great long lemon curd, honey, lemon peel finish that is lasting for ever. There is clearly SR in there, but it's so well integrated and balanced that it's super fresh and fun. You gotta love it! For 14 Eur in the Hamburg airport it's a steal.

One of my favorite Rieslings in the last couple of years. Great acid. On the dryer side. Lots of citrus. But bursts pineapple and tropical fruit. Really well balanced.
