Bordeaux Blend
42% Merlot, 33% Cab Franc, 23% Cab Sauv, 2% PV
It reminded me of supermarket Bordeaux wine on a backpacking budget.
Lingered for the wrong reasons.

Slight iodine. Dumb stage. I've had better bottles.

Not perfect by any means but there's some unexpected elegance here.

Not a bad entry for Bordeaux-style red blends. Lacks the tannin and strong structure of Napa or Bordeaux but the red fruit and hint of spice are there. Snagged a bottle, will try again.

Not thin on flavor like some Long Island wines. Very good.

Thinner and lighter than Cali Bordeaux blends and definitely less tannic than either France or California. Pretty easy to drink right out of the gate. Had that certain Long Island quality that I can’t quote quantity, but know it when I taste it.
