Terrific perfume here. Cherries. Mid season. Some smoke, a hint of flint as well. Gorgeous red and black berries. Palate is a bit tight now as it was just opened but a brilliant core of tangy, juicy fruit. Sick fruit squeeze of the tiny berry kind. So intense. Gorgeous balance and length. Elegant and ripe tannins and exceptional minerality. So clean and so juicy. Long and really seems to be holding back. Will be back once it opens more as these tend to do. As this aerates the fruit gets sweeter and more velvety.

Stunning perfume. Wow. Raspberry, deep blackberry, black cherry, but even though a very red fruit vibe. Hugely floral and so expressive. Amazing mineral soil tones. Wafting. Floral. A treat to smell. Amazing purity to the fruit. High quality here. Stunning palate of great depth, energy and density. Amazing tiny berry fruit quality here with precision that is really compelling. Beautiful sweetness and so linear. Straight. Really long, intense and very flavorful finish. Like the best sweet tart ever. Really compelling character. Unreal concentration and power but so beautiful. This is super profound. Wow. Amazing quality tannins and just ridiculous fruit. What a finish. Still can age and will likely get better the next 4-5 years. But this is thrill a minute drinking right now.

Man these 16 Thörle Pinots are stunning and will age so so well. They take time to unfurl but once they do your attention is totally captured. Needs coaxing as the Kalkstein did but once it gets going the Grand Cru character of the sites shines through. Deep cherry fruit and an insane perfume start to develop. Mid season cherries. Earthy, mineral and brooding. Pomegranate, wild berries. Just so much. Nuances appear each minute. Really insane spice. Stunning. Palate is stacked with incredible freshness and mid to sour cherry fruit. Lots of it. Terrific spice after 10-15 minutes open. Painfully sweet almost with amazing freshness and terrific length. Still a baby but what a great wine. Needs 3-5 years

Palate is cherry, cherry pit, minerals. Soooooo juicy. So fresh. So well made. Texture is amazing. So silky. Elegant spice. Lacks elite density but damned this is well made. For this price … yah .. good luck finding a non special night wine in burgundy. Good luck.
