Luna Matta & Glen Rose Vineyards Nebbiolo

My last bottle from the defunct yet memorable winery.

Smells so delicious, like a fruit yogurt

This drinks like it is fresh, with blackberry bramble, subtle and unique red fruits tucked behind the leather ones.
Tannins are still very gripping, and the acidity tames it back. A touch of heat and its off to the races!

Brick color. Nose is super ripe red berries. In the glass this wine has loads of sweet red fruit paired with bright acidity, even at 11 years old.

Beautiful wine. Purchased on @garagiste Brick red color, intense nose of candied raspberry fruit leathers, black peppercorn. In the glass, intense dried red fruits, tangy raspberries. Huge acidity - you feel it in your teeth. Sour candy finish. Can’t believe I only paid $9 for this bottle at 11 yrs old. Huge steal

Tar and roses, great domestic example of Nebbiolo!

I've been holding this for a long time but I finally decided to pull it out and blind it with some other nebbiolos... and it held up pretty nicely for being 10 years old! Lots of earthy red fruit, the alcohol is starting to show slightly. Dried flowers on the nose. #windgap #nebbiolo

Not going to be mistaken for Barolo, but one of the better American Nebbiolos I've had. Fine tannins, floral red fruit. Aging nicely.

Hot weather and a heavy picking schedule calls for a wine spritzer (forgive me @paxmahle!). #spritzlife

This blend of Nebbiolo and Dolcetto works out fantastic. Delicious with great energy.

Although Wind Gap are based in Sebastopol, this impressive Nebbiolo comes from Paso Robles. Very fruity on the nose (lots of wild strawberries), with big drying tannins on the palate. Delicious.
