This is certainly the best WS Sonoma I've had and it's not close. Dark cherries, black raspberries, stewed strawberries, pomegranate jam, plum, sweet spice, tobacco leaf, baking spices, silky chalk and minerals, dry earth and crushed rocks, beautiful acidity and long rich fruit finish.

Tart raspberry tart and smoke. This sexy pinot has raspberry cola and toasted macaroon breath. Medium bodied but seductively squeezed into a dress that would be scandalous on anyone else! Diaphanous oak leaves little to the imagination, but who needs to imagine anything? Everything is in its place in a real way. Much more impressive than the other '07 I had recently! Opened slowly, good cherry and spice on the palette. Very delicate but showing great for an 11 year old wine.

Stewed cherries, slightly oxidized. Still bright and the tannins are fully integrated. Nice treat.
