Bad corks these wines - a lot. They were so good for a little while.

Still alive and delicious. Strawberry, dried dark cherry, chamomile tea and baking spices. Got better over time and a pleasure to consume over the quarantine. Stay safe.

This wine has it all. Medium ruby, medium+ intensity aromas of black tea, violet, black cherry, dried herbal notes of thyme and rosemary, forest floor, a bit of clove spice. Dry, Medium acidity, silky medium (-) tannin, ripe fruit impressions of plum, black cherry,  long finish. outstanding quality

Terrific. Light to medium. Earth tones. Raspberries. This benefits from an hour+ decant. We did pop & pour and found it much better after time.

Kept this in the cellar forever was afraid it’d be over the hill but no still really fresh savory pretty and evolving in the glass emerging then closing up then emerging again. Cool to check in on it after so many years. @delectable this is the Hirsch vineyard not ferrington.

What a Friday group tasting put on by Dan! Killer wines. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert. All blind.

I guessed Cali Pinot here, and assumed it was mid-2000s, so I got both of those but got convinced this was a Calera. This had a bit more cola and cedar/spice than the other pinots after it.
