Really great and surprising from a wine with no special designation.

That perfect honey/petrol aroma with full bodied lime zest, river stone, lemon peel palate. So flipping good.

A little soft and unfocused on its own, but snaps into focus with a little sashimi. Mature and a complete, if not terribly complex, package. It may seem like I'm underplaying this bottle, but it's great with dinner and makes everything better - just no fireworks. But that's not the point. I don't need fireworks every night. This is why you have a cellar, for easy deliciousness any night of the week.

Can't get much more Mosel than this gem! Green and yellow apples, lime zest, elderflower, honeysuckle and petrol backing. Explosive on the palate - absurd acidity with balancing sweetness and minerality. Electricity in a glass - and only 9% this is some good juice!

Considering the official quality level, this is remarkable in so many ways. The generous vintage has propelled the aromas and flavors, transferring them from youthful and high-pitched stone fruit into a riper and more interesting spectrum, which again proofs what pedigree winemaker are able to create here, even with minuscule price tags attached to the bottles.

Found a few hand marked "x" label bottles in my basement, cork says 2005. Anyway, really good. I'm reasonably confident it is the wine stated.
