Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Another year another vintage of old faithful Whitehaven SB. Same crisp and fresh standard as always.

Although mass produced and widely available this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc still has some charm and delivers for the price.   Nicely aromatic with a pleasant & integrated blend of gooseberry, jasmine, passionfruit, and lime zest.  Livelyness continues onto the palate where a zippy acidity and citrus take center stage. A tasty pairing with a fresh garden salad! [1/23/25] ($14)

Tasted just like the Marlborough. Decent.

Starting to feel like everything New Zealand is pretty damn good and cheap

a bit different herb, peach, tropical, then felt acidic. 2022 @4840, Pieroth, 240120

NYE 23

Bright, tart, with subtle grassy herbs. Getting some pineapple and lemon peel with a zippy, short finish. Also picked up a hint of lavender. Really lovely for the price!
