Nuanced, layered. A Dean Sylvester creation. Really enjoying this...

Whitehall Lane under Dean’s leadership always produced a soft, round, delicate pinot. This is no different. He told me that the glass closure stopped at the 2009 vintage, clearly not. Anyway, most enjoyable.

Always a good showing from WL.
Classic notes of cola, cardamom and cloves on the nose. Minerality is restrained. Nice tannin structure with a tense acidic profile. We shud have let this sit for a little while longer. Still strong, tho.

Glass cork to boot - purchased at the winery, upon recommended from the then winemaker.
The nose has poise and good clarity. Cola, capsicum, leaves and cinnamon jostle for your attention. On the palette it's flinty and mineral driven, with a racy, nuanced texture. Stone fruits all over the place. Excellent and refreshing for this great summer we are having.
