Feb 23rd, 2017I bought this at the winery many years ago after taking a tour with the winemaker Henri. He said he made his Chardonnay in a Burgundian style and it would age well for a decade or more. I said - challenge accepted! (Possibly more in my head than aloud.) It was a roller coaster of a wine that kept evolving in the glass to the last sip. Early on there was a slight corkiness to the mid palate but a bright start and finish and great acidity. This corky note dissipated leaving more of a fallen crab apple note with butterscotch coming through. It really opened up as the night went on showing wild complexity and depth of flavor.

May 16th, 2016I waited too long to open this one, acid has faded and fruit was all about the butterscotch. #thanksgiving2015
