A great wine for the price. Powerful tropical fruit masks apple and pear trying to assert. Balanced acidity and some difficult to define complexity which makes one believe it has something added to the cepage/blend. Evident but not overwhelming oak. Very worthwhile with (say) shellfish/shrimp dishes.

Slightly more fruit forward than I generally like but the cinnamon, vanilla and slightly oaky notes tame it just enough. It's a local winery so it's heavily stocked at local bars and restaurants.
