Wente Vineyards
Charles Wetmore Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This wine is extremely dark in the glass and offers a nose to match. Blackberry aromas are laced with cedar, vanilla, clove and tobacco. The palate is dark, too, and rich. The fruit flavors are in the front while savory notes complement them. There is a rustic feel, and the tannins are firm.

Correctly called this one blind because of the licorice notes on the end that define this terroir. This particular one is lacking a bit of balance. And body. And "life" - @Anthony Pro

Sep 25th, 2014A bit of a bite to it, and a light alcoholic smell. Beautiful dark color. Nice aftertaste. Wish it was better. 2017

It’s like drinking a fancy box of chocolate covered gourmet cherries made into a delectable wine. I will be keeping this on the shelf for nights when I cook steaks to have a glass before cooking, during cooking, and after with my dark chocolate dessert.
