Marto Weiss is a field blend of seven German varietals from just three hectares of land, most of which see two weeks on skins. Then all together for ten months in neutral oak. It’s a tropical fruit tea blend with beautiful depth and body and clocks in at a measly 10% abv. Aromas of naval orange, roasted pineapple, and flavors of peach apricot iced tea.
Martin studied under Tom Lobbe of Matassa and credits him for much of he has been able to produce.
Drink with something spiced - Thai, Asian, something like that.

Not quite as compelling to me as the 2017 I had last year, but still very good. Lots of citrus with some added texture from the skin contact. Held up well over the course of the evening.

Really lovely. Great flavor. Tropical smoothie on the beach meets stone fruit and a tea party. Definite funk but blew off after 30 minutes of air. Sour peaches, earl grey tea with pineapple and passion fruit. More underripe stone fruit. Lingers on the palate bringing you back for more.

Åh gud, hvad er der sket med Martin Wörners 2021-årgang. Syren er altødelæggende. Tæt på udrikkelig. Samme problem med Manna. Long gone are the Bini on a budget days. 😥

Very boldly acidic, with a nose of lychee, peach and hibiscus, and a palate of navel orange, pineapple and tropical fruits. The citrus is SO bold though, that it’s almost a little overwhelming and tart that it’s almost one dimensional. It’s good, but not a repeat winner.
