One of the signature grapes of Austria, pale lemon with aromas of white flesh fruits, spice, biscuit and fresh floral notes. On the palate pear, melon and tangy lemon citrus flavors with earthy tones and spice. Well balanced, medium finish ending with lemon zest. Very Nice value.

Star bright straw gold. White pepper, dried quince on the nose. Medium acidity and medium full body on the palate with quince, hay, and a bit of white pepper and citrus. Medium short finish. I imagine this with swordfish grilled with lemon pepper rub.

Zesty, with tones of salt and chalk. A dash of pepper. Some lemon. Balanced. Short finish.

So refreshing. Lemon and grapefruit. Paired well with chestnut purée soup, tuna tartare, and suckling pig with apple sauerkraut.

Primary nose of yellow fruits. Soft texture immediately in the mouth, a little too blunt and ineffectual from entry to mid-palate, the fruit pleasant but lacking emphasis. Acidity straightens it up towards the back, where a nice flourish of lemon and especially grapefruit comes through, with bitter pith (good) joining it as it stretches to a mineral and surprisingly long finish.

A solid pairing for green bean and maitake mushroom salad with sesame vinaigrette. Bright acidity, but not too grapefruity to mask the dish.
