Another pinot nero from Ciro at Le Volpe e l’uva...and another winner. Has more depth to the palate than previous ones we’ve had from the latest shipment, this went amazingly well with Vanessa’s turkey bolognese over fresh egg fettucini. Yum.

Light & etheric with herby huckleberries, strawberry compote, light mushrooms and beef stock. On the palate this is light yet with great purity & precision. Polished, finely grained, dusty tannins that show a surprising grip, juicy berry acidity and a mineral streak piercing through it all plus an earthy accent toward the finish. A perfect example that fruit is boring, it’s all about the structure.
A great find. And clearly can age.
