Keller’s 2010’s are simply magical and my favorite site, Abtserde, was perfect tonight, stunningly aromatic and ultra complex with amazing weight and texture and racy acids driving everything home. Incredible wine.

For all that is holy, please, please decant this wine if you have it. Closed at first, was good at 20mins, killer at 90. Guava, peach, apricot, chives, onion skin, quartz and limestone core. looooong finish

I think it’s been 2+ years since the last bottle of this and this may truly be one of the best white wines I’ve had. Decanted as I did last time for 2 hours, better as the time increased. An amber honey color in the glass. With the time tropical fruit emerges from the glass; at first it’s much more tightly wound with mostly intense minerality and acid. Just an overridingly beautiful wine with an excellent acid and a perfect long finish. Great pairing with some big prawns with a deep herb sauce.

Beautiful and pure riesling nose. What a minerality and length. Keller is the true master of today’s dry German Rieslings. Unbeatable.
