Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Riesling

2013 drunk in 2024. Excellent honeyed character; long finish.

Rich, but still something I don’t love. Lacks freshness. 2013 drunk in 2023.

Wine was slightly oxidized, but the flavor of fruit and mineral water came through. Hoping the next bottle is a bit cleaner.

Really great Riesling. I normally don’t drink them because the high acid doesn’t sit well with me, but couldn’t resist a glass and a half of this.

The color hints at some age, but not 16 years! Tension and lively energy, juicy peach and nectarine is complicated with some spice and a huge wave of acidity that cuts the fruit like a razor.

Rich wine- the pool helped keep things light though! 🏊🏼
