Nose is so classic. Huge minerals and a dash of honey, melon, wild mint, apricot and peach. Unreal crushed rock minerality. Huge herbals and smells like the best garden ever. Oh wow what a palate. So caressing and engaging with warm hug acidity and that pulverized rock minerality, honey, peaches and awesome purity, energy and balance. So clean and so utterly classic. Stunning. Lovely honeyed element on the finish.

Oct 21st, 2023Just had in November and I cannot keep my hands off of this wine. Nose is so lithe and delicate with lemon oil, slate, apricot, wild mint, some other herbs and maybe a hint of melon. Gorgeous subtle nose but detailed if that makes sense. A smashed lemon on pulverized slate. Wow that palate. So juicy and so concentrated but omg this is so light and finesse driven. Unreal how delicate this is. Just floats like a teardrop in the lane. Like a true Kabinett this finishes so dry and so intense. Unreal structure. This has 30+ years ahead of it. Now the wet slate rocks are coming on strong on the nose. Wow this is ethereal. Just not a hair out of place and so much energy but serene at the same time.

Nov 4th, 2022Wow what a mineral nose. As classic a nose it gets at Steinmetz. Sponti. Sponti up the wazoo. Palate is gorgeous. So pure and creamy with insane acidity. So light and delicate. Amazing purity. So gorgeous. Acid and mineral interplay. Playfulness.

A perfect one to get into the holiday spirit.
Balances beautifully on the tongue, combining honeyed apricot, lemon & lime and a herby touch with incredible lightness & freshness. This is almost weightless and yet with great intensity of flavors, underlined by slate minerality. Poised, with unreal tension and great depth. And goes on forever.
Only a Kabi can do that - and this one is just fantastic!

Nose is apple flower. Somewhat closed.
Palate is perfect elegant green apple. Rich but elegant. Mineral. Long. Tingly on the palate. A bit of crunchy bite of Macintosh from the tree.
