Decanted, and took about 1 hr to open up. Very dark and unyielding at first. After an hour, showed a touch of coffee/cinnamon and then leafy green/charcoal note. On the palate, good acidity, and leafy red fruit, followed by a soft tannic finish. We had this with chili, and I think the food pairing was way off...
