While I didn't like the Vasse Felix 17' chardy because of it's broad style, this I didn't like because it felt totally unbalanced despite sitting at the opposite end of the spectrum. High acidity on distracting oak. I think some malo might have helped this. Could turn out beautiful if all that popcorn, butter, and vanilla integrates over time. I do like the palate's impressive weight and long mineral finish though.
