While I didn't like the Vasse Felix 17' chardy because of it's broad style, this I didn't like because it felt totally unbalanced despite sitting at the opposite end of the spectrum. High acidity on distracting oak. I think some malo might have helped this. Could turn out beautiful if all that popcorn, butter, and vanilla integrates over time. I do like the palate's impressive weight and long mineral finish though.

Tastes like well made 1er cru Chablis on the fruity side. Nice minerality.

Loved this. 2016. Quite restrained but great depth and lingers in the mouth. Probably at its peak. Reminds me of the best NZ Chardonnays.
