Washington State Syrah

Nose is very complex and low-toned. Fire embers, warm animal blood, sweet spices, the oozie stuff at the bottom of a cardboard carton of blackberries. Savory in the mouth, with a drying finish that requires food and is not quite as friendly as the nose suggests.

Seductive Syrah from Waters, always a treat. Dark fruit with some black pepper, balanced. Great introduction level from Waters.

Great with lamb chops

Dark fruit jumps out on the nose. Plenty of blackberry & other bramble fruit aromatics. I was expecting a dark powerful character on the palate, but got a lot more fresh red fruit & an excellent savory/fruit balance as this opened up. Structure is a bit hidden, but plenty of acid keeps that bright character intact. Very nice.

So good....bright flavors of plum, black cherry, red currant, and subtle earth undertones.
Very enjoyable while watching the Flyers game.

Dry but also a bit sweet. Great wine.

Potentially the best Syrah I’ve had. Nutmeg, blackberry, vanilla. Hit of oregano and herbs. Had it with grilled steak and blue cheese salad.

'Very traditional' syrah. A little sweet.
