This evening I have opened the 2011 Waterbrook Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from Walla Walla Washington. I purchased this for $17.99 at my store of choice. At first opening i have aromas of blackberry, black currant, plum, and licorice. On the palate I have black cherry, blackberry, currant, cocoa and a hint of bell pepper which tells me there has to be some cab franc in here which I like. There are smooth silky tanning, med + acidity and a descent finish that hangs on the mid palate. Drinking well now. I have found out that the break down runs 92% Cab Sauv, 6% Cab Franc, and 2% Malbec.

Improving from previous bottles. Sour cherry, hint of cedar, mocha. Good acidity, great QPR.

Jammy on the nose which I love. Big black currant and plum with a medium- toast oak finish on delicate and smooth tannins. Perhaps a new favorite?! Especially a favorite at Just $20. It'll take at least a whole case for me to decide. ;)

Great example of Walla Walla Cabernet produced from Yakima Valley grapes, this is a full bodied wine with rich berry and mineral tones.

2012 hmm not what I expected. The herbal notes just go a bit too far.
