Dec 3rd, 2022Tried to six months ago and it was too soon. Now just starting to come into its prime - could easily cellar it for a couple more years.

Nov 12th, 2021The 14 is in a very nice place. Took a solid decant to flesh it out.

Oct 9th, 2021Can you say reductive? Light yellow in the glass. Mineral forward, saline, pear, ah, it’s more austere than lush, some lemon grass and faint peach. No noticeable oak despite 40% new oak for 12 months in 500L containers. Finished in steel. Cheers!

Jun 27th, 2021Much better than the same wine two years ago. Really focused and long. The oak is glossy but integrated.

Sep 27th, 2020Light, shimmering yellow. Aromas of pear and peach nectar and chamomile take on a smoky mineral quality with air. Silky and seamless in style, offering sappy orchard and pit fruit flavors that are sharpened by a refreshingly bitter lemon zest nuance. Finishes smooth, spicy and long, leaving pear and mineral notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2020)

Reductive and tense, more mineral than fruit. High pedigree Willamette Valley Chardonnay from an amazing vintage. Very high qpr.
