This wine throws parties that go late but not too late full of characters but polite ones and also invites you to dinners with other intellectuals that go late and are rich but get deep and down to life on earth. Which is to say it hints at decadence but is cool with just having like, a real deep conversation on literature. Full of blackberry and cassis fruit but with baking spices and something that says mud delicious mud. Vibing with tannins that aren’t knitted in and a certain element that satisfies but leaves you unsatisfied so you take another sip and it may be on purpose to remind you you are mortal.

This Port's nose carries plenty of big red and black fruit, with the characteristic notes of brown sugar, caramel and earth. The palate is fruit forward with a zingy acidity and firm structure.

Bought half bottle to cook with, for French onion soup, but it’s pretty tasty in its own right.

This is really everything you could ever ask for from a young ruby port. The alcohol and sugar are beautifully integrated with a good acidity and the aromatics have plenty of cherry, plum and blackberry. It's important to serve it slightly chilled, however, or the alcohol will dominate the aromatics.
