Star bright pale straw. Inviting nose of citrus rind and raw almond. Echoed on the medium palate which adds ginger, underripe mango, and birch. Tangy, medium plus acidity runs from entry to moderate finish. The second white of Valandraud is a lighter, brighter expression of "upper middle-scale" Bordeaux Blanc Sec. Great entry into the style for the New Zealand or modern California SB drinker. Pair with fresh water fish of course, but also fried chicken, roast suckling pig, or vegetarian fare. Drink now through 2025.

Super subtle nose. Mostly floral, boxberry shrub. Classic and understand. Full on the palate. Laser focused. Blooming finish. Very very tasty.

Elegantly built-up aromas and flavors, centered around peaches, gooseberries and orange blossom notes, framed by hints of oak, but first and foremost this is a modern and positively naked expression where tart fruit and minerality are driving forces. Mid-term cellaring is recommended.

Explosive aromas of gun flint, spice, vanilla and tart lemons, adding complexity with air, bringing richer elements of tropical fruits and freshly cut herbs. Luscious on the palate with beautiful texture, fresh acidity and and a lingering finish dominated by lime and freshly squeezed lemon juice flavors. A tiny tannic grip add lift and interest on the back palate. Will age nicely for another 10 years. 96 p.

Elegant style with great purity of fruit, gentle oak spice and lively acidity. Good and energetic on the gooseberry infused finish.

Pale yellow. Pleasant subtle. Forward acidity and minerality. Long finish. Good wine for the money.
