As usual I have given this red 2-3 hours of getting to know the world time, in the decanter.

Blackberry bramble with slight hints of hazelnut.
Light, with gaps in the fruit, yet when it does show, prune, dark cherry, raspberry acidity, with very light tannins.

This is what the grape is, so it is expressed very well. This would have been better a couple of years ago.

Lots of white and black pepper with light and dark red fruit to balance it out. I truly awesome food wine.

A touch more elegant than usual Bierzo but the follow through just isn't all there. A little more oomph than its first label but still a little labored.

Raw, unexpected taste, not strong but inelegant and not specially flavored. Not clear classification, it seems a normal wine from a poor grape (it least when young). I will not repeat this one..

Thin, acidic end. Barely a nose. I did not finish the glass. Move on to something more interesting.

Harsh and peppery. Opened up a little to be drinkable by the end.

A really flavorful well balanced wine, one the best wines I've had in sometime.
