I agree with Jim Gordon: this old vineyard Zinfandel drinks like a Port. Juicy plum, ripe raspberry and blueberry flavors. I like the pepper, spice and classic dusty overtones of Amador County. Loads of depth here.

Nicely balanced with nothing heavy about it. Fruit from one of the oldest vineyards in the foothills, handled quite well. Layers of fruit, spice and earth.

Fruit forward zin with nice restraint. Jammy but with some finesse. Pairs well with food. Looking forward to 2012 vintage which vineyard owners suspect will be even better.
