Last night I opened the 2017 Vinné Sklepy Lechovice Blaufränkisch. This wine is from Moravia, Znojmo, Czech Republic.

On the nose there was black fruit black cherry, blackberry, allspice, licorice and a good earthy component.

On the palate there is tart black cherry, blackberry, allspice, black pepper, licorice and earth.

This wine is medium to medium + bodied with medium + acidity and medium to medium+ fine tannins that has a medium to long tart fruit finish. I hope everyone is well moving into this expected cold weekend. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷

Cherry and smoky, with lots of tannins. Went well with veal goulash and sauerkraut.

Light maroon, rose color. Aroma is fruity with a bit of bacon or pork spicy sausage. Flavor is woody and strange. Cherry wood. Smokey finish. Lighter bodied. Kinda like Pinot Noir and Syrah had a baby. Might be a bit heavy on the oak. Certainly a unique wine experience.
